DHA and EPA are omega 3 (polyunsaturated) fatty acids. Our body produces them from ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) which is an essential fatty acid, i.e. it is not produced by the body and must therefore come from our food.
In which foods are Omega 3 fatty acids found?
- Oily fish, such as salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines, tuna, trout, eel, anchovies, halibut, brill, perch and swordfish.
- Cod liver
And alpha-linolenic acid?-
- Soya bean oil and rapeseed oil.
- Nuts such as walnuts
- Lambs' lettuce and spinach.
Advice for use: 2 capsules per day at mealtimes with a glass of water.
